大中国饼家

回来之后吃了一个“mini 核桃奶油” - 味道还真是不错，不知道是不是心理作用，因为贵就好吃？价格$3.3 - 外皮很松软，外圈夹杂着核桃仁，里面应该是莲蓉Lotus，夹着的咸蛋黄 - 有1/4个大小？一点也不甜不腻，很是让我吃惊。明天早上可以再吃那个“mini 莲蓉蛋黄”$2.60

Walking with Mr Lam, luckily he is willing to walk with me, from Tanjong Pagar Railway Station to Chinatown, passing by the "wedding gown street". After seeing "Buddha Tooth Temple"佛牙寺，along Neil Road, Mr Lam found the bakery far away. We get there - buy two mini ones - one is lotus with salty egg yolk, another is creamy walnuts.

After that, we continue walking to Chinatown, so much flavor for Mid-Autumn Festival. And also find so many store selling Moon Cake, also including the one named "大中国".

Many hawkers are selling Lantern made of paper - so beautiful with those cartoon picture.

Tanjong Pagar Railway Station


看完大堂的壁画，直直走到头，出来，就是这里，前面就是铁轨，火车整装待发。
这儿立着马来的国旗。

6.00pm，火车开走了。

跟朋友讨论了一会儿，便又回去大堂那里，本来想一走了之，可是我一定要看看这个Railway Station Food ！

然后就是下面这个惊喜。

这个叫 Baseball Soto - 一个很大的像Baseball大小的球状物，加上汤、cabbage、葱花，这个 baseball 着实叫我欢喜，价钱颇贵，但是值了- $2.50

是面面的土豆包裹着羊肉碎，味道真是榜极了 - 土豆是我喜欢的，再加上包裹着的羊肉，泡着热汤，就着cabage，真是一大乐事。我想这土豆一定得先蒸熟弄成土豆泥才能包裹羊肉碎吧，然后油炸一下，超级好吃啊！ 就是从下面这个挂在墙上的大菜单里选的。其他的还有 - Nasi Lemak, Laksa, Mee Siam, Gado Gado, Soto Mee/ Bee Hong

和朋友吃完（朋友也点了一份这个）之后，便出来，继续逛下去。经过讨论，决定去ChinaTown找那家新加坡百年老店的“大中国饼家”。

Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

沿着Keppel road，走到一个丁字路口，隐约看到这个表挂在那儿，感觉就是这儿了。于是返回等朋友。

等到朋友之后，因为他来过这里，n年前曾经在这儿坐火车去马来西亚，瞧这气派的大门 - 简直震撼我！远远望去好像教堂。4个人的雕像立在那儿。仔细看了一番，注意在每个人的下面都有一个英文单词，表明这个人代表了什么，应该是这个意思吧？！

F - Agriculture

M - Commerce

S - Transport

R - Industry

看完这四个人，经过中间的拱门进去，步一级级台阶而上，还是一个拱门 - 里面就是大堂了。但在进这个拱门之前，先左右张望一下，如下两张 -

往右看 - 是高耸入云的参天大树，已经十几层楼高了，往左看，还是拱门 - 直通Keppel Road。

进入大堂，让我更加的震撼，只能挣大眼睛，嘴巴张成O型，除了“哇”说不出别的感叹词 - Gorgeous ! 看看这些壁画！应该是瓷砖上绘成的吧。也因为这个建筑实在是太高了，看不清楚啊。

进去这个Since 1976的 Railway Food Station，里面有好几家卖马来食物的摊档，吃到让我惊喜的食物。

早上去教堂，中午在SiMei MRT 的Old Chang Kee - Take 5 吃的Laksa - $3.90，让我惊喜的不能自以 - 3只大虾，汤汁浓厚，味道好！

下午回来洗了衣服，不能上网，就打算去Tanjong Pagar 看那归马来西亚铁路局管理的railway station。

出了Tanjong Pagar MRT，走到Tanjong Pagar Road，就看见这个标志牌。

继续往前走着，这一带在星期天特别冷清，但是环境是我所喜欢的。另外，这边的树也特别不一样。但是我叫不上名字来。走到这个Fuji Xerox Tower，抬头看到半个月亮！

然后转弯到Keppel Road，热带的树整齐划一的立在路边，继续寻找railway station，因为查资料，地址就是在这条路上。

还没有找到，但是看见这个“欧南园亚华肉骨茶”，在这个food court就这么一家开门营业。此时朋友打电话过来说他已经到Tanjong Pagar MRT，问我在哪里，我就跟他说这个地方，他说他知道，因为这个肉骨茶很出名。

在等朋友的时候，就沿着这条路继续往前走了一段，经过"Tanjong Pagar Gate 1",什么PSA，然后旁边就是很多的集装箱，估计海外运来的货物在这进港卸货。

继续往前走看到一点线索。然后急忙返回卖肉骨茶的地方，怕朋友来了找不到。

Reading this article by one foreigner - about Nanjing snacks, just remind me those happy days and delicious food in Nanjing.

1) 韩复兴 - 鸭油烧饼 - I love the Salted flavour. Another choice is sweet one. But i never try it with "foie gras"（鹅肝酱）。 But now i don't have opportunity, at least two years.

2）马祥兴 - From my personal point of view, I think the author has made a big mistake to give up this 100-year old restaurant. I love the 蛋黄烧麦￥4.50 让我难以忘怀的喜欢。每次总是不舍得而最后才吃那个放在烧麦顶上的闪亮亮的咸蛋黄！

3) 南京大排挡 - I have never tried this, so no opinion.

But I'd like to recall my memory for some more I have been missing so much -

1）绿柳居（素食） - 菜包子，带着淡淡的甜滋滋，尤其是刚刚出炉的热乎乎的，感觉最平淡最真实的幸福也就如此了。

2） 安乐园（清真）- 菜包子、八宝粥、牛肉小笼包、干丝、各种口味的砂锅（尤其是在冬天来上一份，让你吃得畅快淋漓）。

3）金陵饭店 （快餐部）- 豆腐皮卷着各种菜（忘了叫什么名字）

4）三星糕团 - 各种口味的糕团都是我的最爱，十分喜欢这种粘粘糯糯的东西，还有扭酥 - 带有奶香味的桃酥。

。。。

最不能忘记的就是这种卖梅花糕的hawker - 热乎乎的、粘粘的糯米面包着红豆沙，上面撒上花生碎、大枣、红绿丝，￥1。

busy to be dying

Snatching a little leisure from such a busy working life - Love Deraemon forever !

24 Sep 5.40pm ~ 7.50pm, conference room, my job is under review - so many scoldings and new format to be updated. After that, back in the office, continue correcting my job until 11.00pm, then back home. Go to bed at 1.15am the next day.


25 Sep 5.30am waking up, 6.00 am come out to office, 7.00 am start to continue correction ... until 8.00pm. Get down to hub to buy that wonderful "bread for life" - but they have sold all out their loaves, no one left. Then i bought a "golden Cheese Cake" - $2.50 ! Bought a "Curry Bao" $0.80 at the beside vendor-stand. So nice !

Leaving office @ around 9.00pm, but back at home about 10.30. Cannot sleep, just eat the whole cake - so addicted into it !

26 Sep 7.00am coming out to Toa Payoh swimming pool - swimming.

25 Sep, 2009, Friday @ 7.45pm, very tired the whole day and cannot continue working in the office, so just coming out and being here again to try its loaf - but very unlucky all sold out. Then I bought a "Golden Cheese Cake" - $2.50 It's also very nice - not so sweet, no so oily, very light and soft, melting as being in the mouth.

Anyway, I'll be one of the loyal fans of this bakery !

Esplande - a Concert Hall near to City Hall, there is always free performance there.

This afternoon, a Malay show on its outside stage.

So, buy a choco cake for myself and enjoy the music and view.

Stop at B15, cross the flyover, and see "The Salvation Army" - a church shaped like a ship as following picture taken -

Beside the Salvation Army, it is "Methodist School of Music", and "Bukit Panjang Methodist Church - The Sanctuary"
Then, walking down the flyover stairs, to the "Dairy Farm Nature Park"
I am coming ...
